How Spruce Mountain Guitars came to be

Many years ago, my beautiful wife asked me what I wanted to do when I retired. I told her I had to do something with my hands. Something that could challenge me for the rest of my life. Above all, it had to be interesting.

"You should build guitars," she said. 

Damn fine woman. Smart and beautiful.

So I embarked on a long journey of craft and music. Having learned much, and knowing there were many more like me who longed to learn, I set up my shop as a teaching space. It's designed to accommodate only one or two students at a time so I can devote my full attention to you, your skill set, and making your ideal instrument.
